Accountable to: Farm & Gardens Coordinator
General
In conjunction with the Farm & Gardens Program Coordinator, the Farm & Gardens staff while, supporting the core member one to one, assists in accomplishing the goals and objectives outlines by the Farm's mission statement and policies. Guided by the Mission and Charter of L'Arche, the one to one support staff works to provide a meaningful work experience and the development of vocational skills for the core member.
Quality of Work Experience for Core Members

Assist Farm & Gardens Program Coordinator in developing a work schedule for the core member that provides opportunity for diversity, skills development, and desired goals.

Work with the core member so as to promote self-esteem and maximize training for the individual core member in his/her task.

Provide necessary supervision for core member including line of sight supervision.

Participate in semi-annual review of core members' goals and objectives.

Accurately record and document the core member's work and experience on the Farm including designated work sheets, time sheets, weekly log journals, incident reports, etc.

Assist with maintenance of core members' files/binders.

Support core member in building and maintaining safe relationships with appropriate individuals and groups (on and off site).

Maintain communication with core member's residential provider.
Work & Maintenance of Farm

Assist core member in maintaining clean work area and proper maintenance of tools and equipment.

Assist core member with set up of work area.

Maintain high quality of products by monitoring quality control at all steps of process.
Skills & Qualities Needed

Flexible and a good sense of humor

Ability to work with a variety of people in diverse setting.

Valid Driver's License and High School Diploma/GED.

Healthy communication skills and good self-awareness.

Training to support core member's needs as required by the Department of Developmental Disabilities (CPR/First Aid, Background Clearance, etc).
